1. Who provides FiniteRelay

FiniteRelay is provided by T4 Radius AS, a Norwegian private limited company, at Borgenveien 120, 1388 Borgen, Norway. You can contact us at auth@finiterelay.com. Organization number: 935394708.

2. The service

FiniteRelay lets you create encrypted, expiring messages and file transfers. Encryption happens in the sender's browser. The service receives encrypted payloads and the limited metadata needed to store, deliver, meter, secure, and delete them. The decryption key in a standard Relay link is kept in the URL fragment, which browsers do not send to the server.

A Relay is designed for one successful retrieval. Automated link scanners, browser extensions, recipients, or anyone with the complete link or Relay Code and any required passphrase may trigger or complete that retrieval. FiniteRelay is not a backup service; keep your own copy until the recipient confirms receipt.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be able to enter a binding agreement where you live. If you use FiniteRelay for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these terms for it. Account information must be accurate and access credentials must be protected.

4. Acceptable use

You must not use FiniteRelay to:

• break the law, infringe another person's rights, or share data without authority;
• distribute malware, phishing material, abusive content, or content that exploits children;
• harass, threaten, defraud, impersonate, or facilitate unauthorized system access;
• probe, disrupt, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or bypass service limits or security;
• use the service for emergency communications or as the only copy of important data.

We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, prevent abuse, or preserve the service. Because Relay content is encrypted client-side, our ability to inspect or recover it is intentionally limited.

5. Plans, subscriptions, and capacity packs

Current plan features and prices are shown before checkout. Prices are in US dollars unless stated otherwise. Applicable taxes are handled at checkout where T4 Radius AS is registered or required to collect them. Business customers should provide a valid business tax ID when the checkout form offers that option.

Pro subscriptions renew monthly or yearly until cancelled. You can cancel through the billing portal; access continues through the paid billing period unless law or the checkout terms say otherwise. One-time capacity packs require an active Pro subscription, do not renew automatically, and expire 12 months after purchase.

6. Cancellation, withdrawal, and refunds

You can stop future subscription renewals at any time. Consumers may also have statutory withdrawal, conformity, and refund rights, including rights under the law where they live. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer protections. Our practical refund rules are described in the Refund Policy.

7. Service changes and availability

We may improve, modify, or discontinue features. We aim to keep the service reliable, but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. If a material paid feature is removed, we will provide reasonable notice where practical and any remedy required by law.

8. Security and your responsibilities

No internet service can eliminate all risk. Verify recipients, use a separate strong passphrase for especially sensitive Relays, and share the passphrase through a different channel. You are responsible for the content you choose to send and for complying with your own legal, contractual, professional, or regulatory duties.

9. Intellectual property

You retain rights in content you submit. You give us only the limited rights needed to operate the encrypted service. FiniteRelay's software, design, branding, and documentation remain protected by applicable intellectual property law.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FiniteRelay is provided without guarantees beyond those expressly stated, and T4 Radius AS is not liable for indirect or unforeseeable loss, lost profits, or lost data. Any total contractual liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

These limitations do not apply where prohibited, including liability that cannot legally be excluded and mandatory consumer remedies.

11. Governing law and disputes

Norwegian law governs these terms, without removing mandatory protections available to consumers in their country of residence. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern. Consumers may use applicable public complaint or alternative dispute-resolution bodies. Otherwise, disputes are handled by the competent Norwegian courts.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for legal, security, or product reasons. Material changes affecting paid users will be communicated through the service or account email with reasonable notice when required. Continued use after an effective date means the revised terms apply to future use.
